Daniel Evensen
An Iconic Farrier
Daniel Evensen is certainly no novice judge when it comes to assessing farrier competitions; far from it!
He has previously judged at impressive competitions like the World Horseshoeing Classics in Kentucky in 2020, at the Norwegian Championships in 2021, the Swedish National Team Selections in 2023, as well as other, smaller competitions in Sweden.
We are honored to present him as one of our fantastic judges in Herning in 2024!
Michael Kukkonen
A sought-after judge
Michael is a well-known figure in the equestrian world, and partly due to his upbringing in a family with a passion for Harness racing and deep-rooted traditions, it was entirely natural for him to pursue his interest in becoming a farrier! - Since 2002, he has made a living and excelled in this profession. On a daily basis, Michael runs his business from Højslev near Skive, catering to all types of customers; From little ponies to the horses seen on TV.
Henrik Rolin
A Living Legend
As our third judge, who will be judging our speed forging competition, we once again have the great pleasure of presenting a somewhat living legend; Henrik Rolin! Henrik was employed as a farrier at The Royal Danish Veterinary and Agricultural College in 1977, and retired back in 2015. Through the years, he has managed, with his solid professional background and astute insight into horses and their nature, to keep the farrier's craft alive.
